The floating ‘jump through’ vinyasa brings a sense of grace to our yoga practice, helping us to maintain our flow as we transition elegantly from pose to pose.
Well, that’s the theory at least…
For many of us it can feel like we’ve got rocks in our pockets when we attempt these transitions – leading us to conclude that it’s beyond our ability or anatomy to ever ‘make it all the way through’.
But whilst it’s certainly one of the bigger challenges we’ll come up against in our physical yoga practice, it’s definitely possible to ‘crack the code’ to jumping through, forwards and back…we just have to understand the techniques and principles of these transitions.
In this workshop we’ll break down each of these movements into their component parts and explore various approaches to jumping through, forwards and back to incorporate into our yoga practice.
We will also explore how these techniques can be applied to other aspects of our practice such as hand balances.
The workshop is open to all levels of experience but will be physically challenging at times so come prepared to work.
Bring an open mind, a sense of humour…and a pair of socks!
